I have another craft blog crafty thinkings of an uncraffty person. I haven't written in there for almost a year now. Then why the need for another blog on crafts? I started my first blog as a diary to record my and Ananya's crafty endeavors which later turned into a cardmaking blog. I had started posting only for competitions and challenge blogs. I won't say it was a bad thing, because I got to make cards and use my stash while participating in the challenges. But the zeal to learn was lost somewhere and somehow I felt myself drifting away from cardmaking.
I can't sit idle at home. I need to feel that I am doing something with my time. As cardmaking and quilling took a backseat, I started a new hobby; sewing. I had gifted myself a basic brother sewing machine way back in 2013, but didn't know a thing about how to operate it. After a year long hiatus and gathering dust, my brother sewing machine came to the fore and gave me inspiration to do something with it.
I dabbled with sewing small things like tissue paper holder, pencil cases etc. Some I gave away as gifts to my kids' teachers.
I was beginning to find a way through the interesting world of sewing when something devastating happened. \My son suddenly fell ill and he was diagnosed with Guillain Barre syndrome. That one month was the worst period of my life and I am so relieved now that my son is well on his way to recovery. I still worry about him and get scared even if he sneezes, but worst is over. He is back to his naughty self and goes to school now.
Anyways, now I have time on my hands again and have decided to refresh the things I learned on sewing.
So this blog is dedicated to my sewing adventures. I thank all the sewing experts out there in the world wide web who painstakingly put together tutorials and tips for craft enthusiasts like me.
